European Values | EVS/ESC Review #9

Can one lecture change your attitude to the world? Read below.
#1. Szkolenia po polsku!
A few weeks ago, I found on the internet a perfect opportunity for all the volunteers who work in Warsaw - workshops from Leader's School. I was lucky to be selected as a participant for 2 workshops - Difficult Situation in Volunteer's Activity and Presentation Activities.

The second workshop, Presentation Activities, was organized by Hanna Nowicka, a trainer of the organization too. Here we got an opportunity to develop personal presentation skills, learn information about information pyramid, storytelling and others. The atmosphere here was really warm and cosy. Also, here we were able to take part in a TV show Dobry Świat and present our stories in front of a real camera.
To my mind, nowadays soft skills are as important as hard ones. However, we should always remember that a great professional is a qualified one.
However, in this passage, I want to tell you about my new skill - mastering the MailChimp platform. It is a perfect website for mailing if you have lots of subscribers. You can use the platform for free (limited version) or you can buy a package (unlimited access and more features). I am in love with this platform! So if you have any queries concerning it - feel free to ask ;)
#3. Master's Degree Fair
This summer I graduated from V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University and, of course, I am thinking about furthering my education. All this year I worked on my path to understanding other educational systems, exams, internships and educational opportunities, etc. However, the precise institution has not been chosen yet. Till the day of the educational fair on November 29, I thought that the best match for me was Leadership, Organizational Management and M.Ed. or M.A. programs connected to this. The core word here is 'was'.
After visiting the educational fair I realized that I completely forgot about 'technical' and 'mathematical' part of myself. Don't know why, but I completely left behind the fact that I am an IT specialist too. Of course, not as experienced and professional as students of IT specializations, but anyway, two years of maths, programming and technical disciplines could not be just skipped.
So, all things considered, I as if opened another door recently and now I have either two entrances or one, but wider and bigger.
#4. YouthVoice Meeting
For me personally, this event became a life-changing point. I was impressed by the European Union Values lecture and I came to the conclusion that the modern world is really fighting now. Every day, every minute it is fighting for a better future - for a safe life, for better conditions, for values - European values. Adding to that point, despite all the difficulties, I am extremely proud of living in this very world!
Thank you, Fundacja Gwiazdka and Youth Agents of Changes, for this splendid opportunity!
All the best from EVS/ESC-wolontariuszka Ira Konoplianko.
Cześć!😉
